Worship at Federated Covenant
Federated Covenant Church has about 50 members; in other words, a place where you can get to know people and be known!
Our worship style has morphed over the years. These days we sing hymns and contemporary songs, and we often engage ourselves with God using various readings and prayers, including The Lord's Prayer.
We celebrate the Lord's Supper (communion) on the first Sunday of every month, and on other special days as well. All who are seeking to follow Jesus are welcome at His Table.
We are an inter-generational church and children are welcome in worship. We have a special kids' space in the sanctuary with kid-sized tables, so children and parents can be in worship together. We love hearing children in worship! KIDZONE is offered every Sunday throughout the summer, except on Communion Sundays, which are intentionally inter-generational worship services.
Youth and adults often help with reading Scripture, singing, audio & video, and other aspects of worship like lighting the Advent candle.
Federated Covenant is fairly casual, so please dress comfortably - jeans are fine! Worship is about an hour long, and there are usually snacks afterward so people young and old can hang out and talk. And you'll probably hear the youth playing carpet ball and air hockey across the hallway in the youth room.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the church office.
On July 14, we are holding our worship service on the eastern side of Russ Forest Park (on Marcellus Highway, at 11:00am). Bring a lawn chair and dish to share for the picnic afterward.
