Co-Pastors
Revs. Jen & Rob Lowe
Pastor Jen began ministering as a college student with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, leading Bible studies, prayer gatherings, discipling students, and directing mission trips. She went on to serve as a missionary for three years with Covenant Merge Ministries in Mexico, connecting ministries in Mexico, Guatemala, and the United States. She served as a pastoral intern in Wisconsin. Pastor Jen earned her Master of Divinity at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, and she serves on the Committee on Ministerial Standing for our conference. Pastor Jen also serves as the vice-president of the A.C.T.I.O.N. board of directors. She enjoys photography, jigsaw puzzles, science fiction, traveling, the Green Bay Packers, running, and fishing and hiking with her husband Rob. Pastor Rob began serving in ministry as a junior high student, when he was asked by his children’s pastor to teach Sunday school for three year olds. It was in that role that he began to discover Christ’s love for him as he participated in the ministry of the church. From there he served as a middle school director, youth pastor, and pastoral intern in five different churches. Pastor Rob earned his Master of Divinity at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, and is currently working on a Masters in History from Western Michigan University. He enjoys running, good coffee, cooking, traveling, and fishing and hiking with his wife Jen. Pastors Jen and Rob met and married while in seminary, both pursuing God’s call to ministry individually. Now having a shared call to ministry, they have been using their varied individual gifts for the service of Christ at Federated Covenant Church since December 2009. They are both ordained by the Evangelical Covenant Church. Youth SpecialistsChad & Dana Benkert
In August 2012, Federated Covenant Church began a partnership with Chad & Dana, and First Christian Church, to reach out to the youth of Dowagiac. Chad and Dana have a heart for youth and it shows very transparently in how they live and minister. Chad is a licensed minister of the Evangelical Covenant Church. MusicJudy Mead leads our congregation in worship on the piano and Pastor Jen plays a tune or two on her guitar, while some of our youth and adults are using their voices to lead congregational singing. Music has been, and continues to be, a large part of how we worship God at Federated Covenant Church.
